Northern Italian Cuisine from Chef Darrel Truett

Barolo Grill, an award winning Cherry Creek North restaurant, prides itself on serving authentic northern Italian food while maintaining a comfortable, elegant ambiance. Known for hand crafted modern Piemontese cuisine, a spectacular wine cellar, and knowledgeable, attentive staff, Barolo Grill is the perfect choice for special occasions or just a great night out. The cuisine focuses on the Northern Italian provinces of Piedmont and Tuscany. Seasonally changing menus highlight locally sourced ingredients from regional farms and artisans.
Owner and wine director Ryan Fletter is proud to feature small family wineries that are dedicated to Earth-friendly farming and winemaking philosophies.
Barolo Grill founder Blair Taylor began taking the entire staff on educational trips to Italy each year, commencing in 1995. This annual event continues as Ryan Fletter, 21 year veteran and longtime Barolo General Manager/Wine Director (and now owner of the Barolo Grill), galvanizes the continuation of these historic efforts. The staff celebrated their 20th food and wine pilgrimage in July, as Ryan was one the first members of the staff and the first member on the trip 20 years ago. Ryan has commandeered and escorted the group throughout Italy on countless excursions over the years! The trip is a chance for the entire staff to experience and understand the foods and wines of Italy, firsthand! When you dine at Barolo Grill, the chefs have perfected their dishes under the advice of some of the finest chefs in Italy, and your server has likely tasted with the winemaker in the actual cantina, and even stayed or dined at the property in regards to the exact wine they have recommended!
The trip takes place during the 1st week of July, lasting approximately 10 days. It is unique every year and includes stays in Piedmont, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, the Veneto, or even up as far north as the province of the Alto Adige. We have even crossed bordering countries like, neighboring France, to explore the epic food and wine areas of Burgundy, Provence and the Rhone Valley.
When in Piedmont, we stay in the glorious town of Alba with visits countless visits to the amazing producers of Barolo and Barbaresco as well as some of the most classic restaurants in the region.
In Tuscany, we stay in historic towns like Castellina in Chianti or Montepulciano. From there, we visit producers of Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, highly regarded Super Tuscan producers, and of course all along the way visiting incredible restaurants, some very modern, some very classic!

The mission of our wine program here at the Barolo Grill is to offer our guests what we feel represent some of the greatest wine estates of the world. We look at the very highest quality and value in order to acquire spectacular bottlings. After over two decades, as a staff, we have travelled to many of the birthplaces of these world class estates. We hope to present to the guest at any level of wine appreciation a wonderful and diverse selection of offerings that have all been stored, aged, and to then be served properly while dining here at the Barolo Grill. After careful selecting and collecting we have come to represent a program with a great collection of wines amongst the finest programs in the world made up of thoughtful and heartful acquisitions.

Barolo Grill has three private dining rooms, available for groups of 6 to 30 people.

Each season Chef Darrel Truett creates two five course private dining menus for groups to choose from.  

We also offer a Restaurant Buyout option on Monday evenings for groups up to 80 people.

The Wine Room

The Wine Room is the most intimate of our private spaces.

This working wine cellar is perfect for smaller gatherings.

Available for groups of 6-14.

The Red Room

The Red Room is not only a beautiful private dining space, but also serves to house some of the best wines featured on our list.

Available for groups of 10-20.

The Garden Room

The Garden Room features exposed an brick wall &  antique Italian posters to create a cozy ambience even for larger parties.

Available for groups of 20- 30.
